Death nesting is the intentional preparation of the physical, emotional, and spiritual environment for dying. This offering supports families in tending the space with care and clarity. This offering may include: Guidance preparing the home or room for end-of-life care Support with comfort measures and sensory needs Emotional and spiritual support for caregivers and family Presence rooted in respect for personal, cultural, and spiritual beliefs Investment: Custom, based on needs and time

Death Nesting Policy The Healing Hive – Full Circle Doula Services Death nesting is a gentle, intentional process of preparing the physical, emotional, and spiritual space for end-of-life or sacred transition. This offering is rooted in dignity, consent, cultural respect, and trauma-informed care. Scope of Service Death Nesting may include: Creating a calm, supportive environment using lighting, sound, natural elements, and simple ritual Support with comfort-focused space arrangement (bedside setup, sacred items, meaningful objects, cleaning & organizing home) Emotional and spiritual presence for the individual and their loved ones Gentle guidance for family participation, if desired Death nesting does not include medical care, clinical tasks, or hands-on physical care that falls outside a doula’s scope of practice. Consent & Collaboration Death nesting is offered only with the clear consent of the individual or their legal decision-maker. Services are provided in collaboration with family, caregivers, and medical teams when applicable. Cultural, spiritual, and personal boundaries are always respected. Safety & Boundaries The Healing Hive does not replace hospice, palliative care, or medical professionals. Any materials used (candles, herbs, essential oils) are discussed in advance and adapted to medical or environmental needs. The doula may pause or adjust services if safety or well-being is compromised. Scheduling & Availability Death nesting sessions are scheduled by agreement and may be offered as single sessions or as part of a larger care package. Extended or urgent requests are subject to availability. Payment & Cancellation Payment is required prior to the session unless otherwise arranged. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a partial fee unless due to medical emergency or transition. Ethical Commitment The Healing Hive approaches death nesting as sacred work. All services are offered with humility, confidentiality, and deep respect for the life, lineage, and stories of those we serve.
